Dreamed that no matter which way I tried, I couldn’t Google what a pigeon was, let alone the size of an American pigeon. Mom needed a mock up for a feeder. Also John and Sherlock were involved. And I kept waking up in the dream to try it in another one. It was impossible.

I know there are bigger issues, but since when did the OED and Word start preferring -ize over -ise for British English? My job involves adhering to regional English spelling preferences. Me and my writing colleagues are feeling very Mandela Effect affected.

Today in genius analogies: using AI (aka Co-pilot) to sum up a long portion of text is on par with taking the Hastings Cutoff on the Oregon Trail. But without ending in cannibalism. Maybe. Brought to you by a fellow anti-AI writing colleague giving it a go and having immediate regrets.

Being a person with deadly, incurable cancer who is nonetheless still alive for an indefinite timeframe gives me an interesting metaphor that helps me deal with things like large-scale corruption in government or commerce.
