While 2025 is gladly in the past, I can't deny what I experienced during the 365 days in a specific calendar year.

From acting on nihilistic thoughts to learning the importance of community to getting more involved in politics, it was a year that forced me to learn to be a better member of society.

Left is showing up in cultural spaces and the following thoughts pop up in my head:

Power Rangers and shows in the Toku genre does a good job portraying the harms of for profit motives and corruption

Splatoon makes me shows the impacts of war of climate change

Going through my YouTube playlist at 3 am: Let's a video on Sexy Redd. Let me get a deep dive into her

Video: Here are some of her controversies. But just as importantly, here is her record label, their suspicious attempt to hijack black culture, and their market strategy for the sake of profit

To anyone that doesn't drink alcohol: what do you drink when you go out to bars or parties? Is there a substance you can replace alcohol with? Like... almond milk or specific herbs?

I'm asking because I'm considering limiting how much alcohol I drink, or even dropping it completely.

@augustqueue.bsky.social posted this on Threads so I'd like to share this here. I know how it feels to not have a place of your own and would gladly like others not to experience that 💞

So instead of providing families with paid time off work to be with their newborn, or even provide childcare at a low cost, we're turning workplaces into daycares to make up for not having the programs and services mentioned.

This is an odd timeline we're living in.

Weird that this needs to be said, but advocating for forced sterilization of any group is eugenics (i.e. Nazi shit), even if that group lives in a fascist settler-colony that commits war crimes on the daily. You can enact justice without resorting to Nazi shit and cruelty!

Very close to just being the base that supports him...
Four polls in recent days now have Trump in the 30s, with 3 at 35%-36%: 2/
35%-62% (-27) ARG
35%-56% (-21) High Point University
36%-60% (-24) Gallup
38%-57% (-19) Econ/YouGov
Again, Trump just keeps dropping.

Economist/YouGov track had him at 38%-57%, their lowest reading this year. He just keeps dropping.

Got woken up by a loud, drunk homophobic rant at 4 am, so here's how my Thanksgiving went:

I was scheduled to work all day (I'm a server for those that don't know), but the restaurant had to close the lobby due to not having hot water

I made $14, half of the cost of my ride to get to work
