my recent philosophy on mixing is basically: compressors r a subtle kind of limiter, which is a subtle kind of clipper, which is a subtle kind of distortion, which is a primitive kind of EQ, which is a subtle kind of filter. so its best 2 focus on, in order: filters, EQ, distortion, clippers, &c....

i like when concept artists are hyper mentats who know both the visual language of firearms/buildings/tanks/clothing/etc + the real problems solved & introduced by design, how they all fit together. i think thats way cooler than denoising a latent image 100 times and picking whats "cool"
I think it's nice when concept art shows the evolution of people's creative processes instead of a prompt, but what do I know
