this really feels like they took FM8 and shoved it inside Serum, and on top of all the cool added features it's just wayyy more intuitive, or at least easier to just fuck around with (which is really the starting point of any good FM)

FM8 can definitely do the routing but I haven't found a way to do any of the other cool shit yet. also you can just drop a .wav into it and it'll create a wave table of the sample (haven't messed around with it much yet)

okay Ghost by exacoustics is like... the coolest version of FM synthesis I've ever seen. build your own algorithm. Any op can be a modulator or a carrier, you can loop them into each other, wavetable shit. unison, filter, and distortion per op and pre-modulation, LFO + Env routing. fuck
