NEW: We’re looking for the owner of this roughly 3-year-old miniature poodle-mix who we’re calling Fiyero. He was brought to us earlier this week extremely skinny and matted. After a couple days in Angell's emergency room, he’s now being treated in our Boston clinic but he’s got a long road ahead 1/

We're so glad that this little guy is safe! It's an important reminder that these animals are illegal to own in Mass. As with other wild animals, their physical and behavioral needs can't be met when kept as a pet, resulting in harm to the animal, and potential danger to people and other animals.

Dozens of advocates came to rally in support of wildlife and testify in favor of S.644/H.965, Rep Hawkins and I's bills curbing the use of anticoagulant rat poisons. These poisons accumulate in the bodies of animals who eat rodents, endangering hawks, bobcats, eagles, foxes, and other animals.

Today, we and Methuen Police are honoring K-9 Kilo at Hillside Acre Animal Cemetery at Nevins Farm. Kilo served for 10 years and is remembered as being fearless and determined.
