Adopt dogs, cats, small & large/farm animals. Vet hospital: specialty & general care. Animal welfare advocacy & law enforcement. Serving all of MA! Learn more at www.mspca.org
Opening up kennel space means we can keep saying “yes” to animals who need us most. If you’ve been thinking about adopting, this is a great moment to help!

A string of recent law enforcement seizures has pushed our shelters past capacity! As a result, we will be doing pay-what-you-can adoptions Friday 11/21 and Saturday 11/22 for all dogs at all four MSPCA-Angell shelters! Hours vary by location. See what dogs are available at mspca.org/adoptadog 1/

Meadow is at Angell getting ready for her surgery! Thank you to everyone who's sent good vibes, shared her story, and donated to help us care for her ❤️💙

November 19, 2025 at 3:47 PM
We’ll post updates across our social media channels.

Please donate at mspca.org/meadow to help us care for her and other animals like her in the future ❤️
November 18, 2025 at 8:01 PM
Luckily, she has access to world-class veterinarians, and she’s scheduled to have the procedure with surgeons at Angell Animal Medical Center tomorrow.

We expect Meadow will need to recover in foster care for a couple weeks before she’s able to find a new home 3/
November 18, 2025 at 8:01 PM
She was abandoned outside the shelter with her kittens & TJO needed help finding a foster home that could take them all in.

When Meadow was brought to Nevins our clinic vets discovered that she had a congenital disorder called PDA. Without surgery she could suffer fatal congestive heart failure 2/

NEW: Meadow is a roughly one-year-old cat who will get lifesaving surgery thanks to the Massachusetts Animal Shelter Support (MASS) coalition. She came to us in September from our partner shelter Thomas J. O’Connor in Springfield. 1/

UPDATE: Fiyero got a fresh sweater and a weigh in today. We're happy to report that he's gained a full pound and is looking much brighter! Thank you to everyone who's donated, shared his story, or sent well wishes. Your support truly makes this life saving work possible ❤️

Please donate at mspca.org/fiyero to help us care for him and other animals in need ❤️
November 14, 2025 at 4:11 PM
Fiyero was apparently found on Geneva Ave. in Dorchester on November 10. Anyone with information about his owners is asked to contact our Law Enforcement department by phone (617-522-6008 or 800-628-5808) or online at mspca.org/tip 4/
November 14, 2025 at 4:11 PM
Fiyero will be assessed in a few days to determine next steps, but he may need to spend some time in a foster home before he’ll be ready for adoption, and we need dog fosters! Sign up to foster at mspca.org/foster 3/
November 14, 2025 at 4:11 PM
We expect it will take several weeks to get Fiyero back to a healthy weight. This first week is critical and he’ll need close supervision to avoid what’s known as refeeding syndrome. More on that here: www.mspca.org/angell_servi... 2/

NEW: We’re looking for the owner of this roughly 3-year-old miniature poodle-mix who we’re calling Fiyero. He was brought to us earlier this week extremely skinny and matted. After a couple days in Angell's emergency room, he’s now being treated in our Boston clinic but he’s got a long road ahead 1/

We're holding a pop-up pet food pantry today (Nov. 13) at Nevins Farm in Methuen (400 Broadway) from 11a-1p, as long as supplies last. If you or someone you know is struggling to feed pets amid these tough economic times, stop by 💙
November 13, 2025 at 2:51 PM
We need your help! Donate pet food via our wish lists at mspca.org/wishlist or give via mspca.org/foodsupport.

Information on the pop-up food pantries will be shared on mspca.org/foodpantries

Our Community Outreach team was already distributing roughly 275,000 pet meals each month, and we estimate that number needs to increase by at least 22,000 meals per week in order to meet demand. That’s a roughly $6,000 weekly cost. 2/
November 5, 2025 at 2:58 PM
Given the loss of SNAP benefits amid the ongoing government shutdown, more people in our communities need help, and we’re doing as much as we can to be there for them. This month, we’re hosting pop-up emergency food pantries to try to make sure pets are able to stay fed. 1/

Miss Piggy would like to remind everyone that October is #AdoptAShelterDogMonth! She's a sweet and sensitive 1 year old pittie mix who always brings smiles to our faces. She’ll make the right family super happy!

Visit our Salem, Mass. shelter during open hours to meet her (daily 11:30a-5p).
