Shame on @hootsuite.com - if you are an existing customer, consider cancelling. I'm so embarrassed that Hootsuite is also Canadian. #hootsuite

Beautiful, historic speech by our Prime Minister. It heralds the end of the post war order and, in the long term, the American empire. Its a serious, sad speech. But an essential one.

The COVID pandemic is NOT OVER.
COVID takes a large toll on our elders.😢 Resulting in increased need for medical care, hospitalization, critical care and ultimately mortality and severe morbidity. Yet prevention is not hard:
Get vaccinated.
Wear an N95 respirator.
Clean the air we all breathe.

“Our biggest hit of the year, Nick Tsergas ’s fascinating piece on “immunity theft” or why what we think we know about the lockdowns of the covid-19 pandemic reducing our immunity to other diseases is possibly wrong. “

HD web rip of the banned 60 Minutes El Salvador's CECOT prison report - downloading right now (slowly) and will re-upload on my servers to mirror.
60 minutes CECOT segment. Recorded through my browser. HD quality. Not phone. Spread it around. If you're press, it's yours. Go nuts.

It's streaming on a Canadian website, but there is no telling for how long.

Traveling for the holidays? Stay well on your way by wearing a high-quality mask like an N95 in crowded indoor spaces like airports and planes. Also wash your hands frequently, cover your cough or sneeze, and avoid traveling if you’re sick.

I agree with all this — sick leave is essential to a healthy society. While we’re working on that, though, we need to make it a general norm that if you MUST be around others while sick, you wear a mask (preferably a good one).
3/ Isolation is important but only works if people can afford it. Many people simply can’t stay home when sick. Without meaningful sick pay, asking people to isolate is unrealistic. Better financial support is essential to reduce transmission.

Doug Ford’s Conservatives are taking an extended break from Queen’s Park until March 23.

People are struggling, ERs are packed, basic needs aren’t being met – and this government’s response is to ram through a bunch of harmful bills and then clock out. It’s undemocratic. #onpoli

That’s why an N95 respirator is a good way to stop submicron particles from passing from our mouth and nose to others. And protects us from the aerosols generated by others.
Easy peasy.
Don’t get COVID.
Get vaccinated.
Wear an N95 respirator.
Clean the air we all breathe.

Firstly, there is no mention of how public health officials ignored, denied and aggressively obstructed meaningful discussion and dissemination of the fact that COVID is predominantly spread by the airborne route.
