I went on a rainy canvass for @patrickbweiler.bsky.social and the @liberal.ca.web.brid.gy today. This riding is always fun to explore. Our walk had us on beaches, up forest cliff trails, and we even canvassed a brave ocean swimmer!

Today is a #bced Trustee by-election in West Vancouver.

There are 2 candidates with limited experience I schools who have links to the BC Conservative party and a third candidate with no party affiliation who has experience on multiple community boards, many of which are about kids and schools. 1/2

Power outage at the price household tonight. Time to bust out the candles and the guitar. 😅

If walking costs you $1, we all pay $0.01. If biking costs you $1, we all pay $0.08. If bussing costs you $1, we all pay $1.50. If driving costs you $1, we all pay $9.20. Via study that still underestimates climate cost.

This isn’t about choice. It’s about who pays for your choice.

Over a hundred speakers lined up to contribute their 3 minutes on the topic.

I was given Snyder's book by a parent in my class a while back. Great read. One key thing it reminds us to do is to participate in civil society institutions. But lots of longstanding institutions are struggling to recruit a new generation. What's an institution you think deserves peoples' time?
