I don't know, man. I'm broadly out of touch with considering the "fanbase" of anything when evaluating a work anymore. I'm sure you can find a collective of fans for anything who are annoying or awful, but they're not in the room with me and I'm not going to go looking for them.

I hate the online reaction cycle that praises a piece of art a lot and uses it as an example of what’s good about the medium but then the moment it gets awards or enough acclaim or fandom, suddenly we have to talk about how it’s actually not really that good and it’s overrated and always sucked

I read the first translated entry of Shu Takumi's Trials and Tribulations development blog for Part 3 of the Ace Attorney Retrospective and I already have lots to write about. Making these videos is hard, but researching them isn't 🥰

I never enjoy being part of the crowd that clowns on normie stuff. “Popular thing bad” is such a weak and banal approach to media criticism, especially when the participants are so mean-spirited about it most of the time.
