His dog had recently died… he just adored and took excellent care of him. I truly hope he’s been reunited with Joule somewhere over the rainbow 🌈 bridge. RIP Alex Pretti, you were a true hero and gone way too soon.

I’m grateful to the Red Lake Nation for the honor song it presented at its powwow in honor of our friend, Melissa Hortman. Melissa was a friend to Indian Country who visited Red Lake and other tribal communities, then went back to St Paul and got to work for them.

So many tears for Gilbert. Note that people not only brought their own dogs to pay respects, Gilbert had an honor guard of goldens on site so that he was never left alone. There were at least two goldens sitting watch around the clock. ❤️
