In China & India, the growth in electricity demand has "decoupled" from the growth in fossil fuels. The next step is for fossil fuel demand to plateau & head down, even as economic growth continues. Should happen in the next few years. Believe me, when it happens you'll hear some cheering.

A friendly reminder to take some time sitting outside in nature. Next to a body of water, in a forest, or a grassy field. If you can't be there for yourself in your time of need, it will be harder to help others. Best to not let the world burn you up too quickly.

What do you do when you go to bed with a full battery and wake up without an alarm only to find that the YouTube app decided to kill your phone at 4am by inexplicably running in the background despite it not playing or being connected to anything?

I used to regularly access this NOAA page on atmospheric GHG concentrations, so glad to know it’s still available from UCSD ⚒️🌏🧪
Although NOAA's page on atmospheric CO2 levels has vanished, you can still get this vital information from Ralph Keeling's team at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego keelingcurve.ucsd.edu

When plans for xml metadata schema usage start to look like they're calling for a "Terducken approach" I'm reminded of how much I love my job.
Which one to use? Yes.

WE ARE STILL IN THIS.
Wipe your tears.
This is the difficult business of hope and defying expectation.
We do not give up.
We run through the tape.

Y’all aren’t allowed to throw in the towel until I do. 😉

Big breath. Locked in. Let’s do this.

Saw a bumper sticker tonight that said "Deny Negativity", and my immediate thought was "Damn you, Dipoles!!!"
This received what I consider a well-earned "sigh" from my beloved partner. I guess I can say it was my magnetism that attracted such a positive match.

If Biden can pardon a turkey, why not his son? It's only a problem for some Democrats because of their weakly held positions preventing them from tangibly helping people.
Without their dedication to maintaining the status-quo they're basically Centrist Republicans - both bow to corporate interests.
