Man I love hackfests. Just re-read an article I wrote in 2022 about hackfests at @fusionauth.io . As the company has grown the logistics have changed, but the spirit is still there.

In the spirit of public service, Blair Ewalt did a survey of sponsors.
Results: 52% of sponsor booths (24 of 46) mentioned AI or a close derivative such as 'agentic'.

When you get a JWT, you must must must validate it. Just had a 15 min conv at #railsconf about this, but the short version is:
- check sig (using a lib!)
- check standard claims (iss, aud, nbf, exp at min)
- check custom claims
