Because I've started my last couple rewatches with season 2, I had forgotten how much of a jerk Steve was in season 1. What an evolution lol

If all you think about Black Southern History and all you bring up is slavery? Then you are missing out. Black southern history and culture is not about suffering. It's about art, history, language, music, food, and our accomplishments.
"Black people just move to a Blue State" is such out of touch bullshit. And what about the Indigieous folks or the Chicanx folks? We just leave them behind to suffer while we have to deal with the passive aggressive anti-Blackness that Blue states are known for?
