April is a bit of an in-between time; the best time to visit Ottawa is the summer (so many cool spots are summer only), and then the fall (trees changing colour) or when the canal is open mid-winter for skating.

For books and coffee check out Black Squirrel Books.

I live in Ottawa, and I see you've already been to Quebec City. I'd say two days is a good amount of time in Ottawa, with the rest in Montreal.

Best museums are the Canadian History Museum, National Art Gallery, Nature Museum and the Diefenbunker. Visit Parliament too.

It didn't take much work to get Grok to push white supremacist talking points at the direction of its racist founder.

It was done pretty incompetently, but we're close to a future where say the GOP could give a company like OpenAI a hundred million dollars to subtly fear monger about a minority.

I really liked this documentary. It felt grounded, and appreciated how it discussed imperfection when it feels like only perfection will do.
