without doing a detailed check, my impression is that the Japanese nuclear discourse cycle has been accelerating over the last decade or so.

but perhaps not?

IIRC, the argument for the displacement of the somewhat smaller Zumwalt was that the AB design was maxxed out & it was time to move to a larger design of base-hull in order to provide sufficient space for propulsion, sensors, and of course missiles.

Badly executed.

oh, & those disastrous "guns."

The illustration is extremely dubious though.

If it is remotely connected to an actual design, which frankly, seems less than entirely likely, it is probably actually quite large.

A clue is the hanger deck, or more specifically the separation of the two hanger doors, presuming they are more or less the standard size on a current AB.

And the worst part is that if you are old enough you know that there was a time where we had all of those things.

Well, maybe 2 out of 3.

Seems reasonable to me.

Though perhaps a separate hidden kitchen where the servants prepare food out of sight so that you can host guests, or not be afflicted by their poor people existence.

So no tigers then.

Can I have a Lynx? Surely rich people with awful taste can effectively litigate this for favorable outcomes.

Where pets are permitted, leases and HOA, etc. documents tend to be remarkably silent on topics such as the size or breeds of cats you are allowed.

Unlike with dogs.

Just saying.

I don’t understand why LEGO would be your go to for playing with toy soldiers when you can buy box loads of any WW2 army you want from Airfix and paint them any color you like.

I'm not remotely familiar with army aviation practices, but aren't things like altimeters supposed to be calibrated, regularly?

It knows what it is and what its doing and its glorious.

Though the almost perfect Michael Bay elements are a tiny let down. But close enough to continually make me think it is actually a Bayhem movie.

mwahahahaheeheeheehaha hmmm

You're a bad man sir.

Also, what else can we expect from a late 19th C aristocratic adjacent cavalry officer.

So the bit of Gallipoli I still don't understand is why the British didn't employ ground forces in the first attempt.

Or I suppose, more precisely, why they thought there was no need to include ground forces in their initial attempt to force the Dardanelles.

Wait?! What?!

Are we seriously instituting donativa as a practice?

Better start basing an airborne division (or insert other preferred unit as Presidential Guard) in DC as well, to go all in.
