A non-state CBRN use researcher.

With all kinds of other eclectic interests and opinions. Which I generally manage to keep to myself.
Trump administration apparently now channelling Jerry Lundegaard.

I have this little fella coming in the l and am more than a little excited.

Perfect for summing up how things are going.

It’s incredibly disappointing that the USA and UK are determined to, collectively, commit themselves to a real-life re-enactment of one of Father Ted’’s funniest episodes.

It’s not funny in the real-world, and at least the good father knew racism was not okay & he shouldn’t be doing it.

Got hold of some British Cadbury Flake bars and was reminded again of the smooth chocolatey goodness of genuine British Cadbury products.

In contrast to most USA Cadbury products which are produced by Hersheys with the same dry gritty mouth feel of all their “chocolate” with a nauseous aftertaste.

The sun was shining through the window onto the floor of my office today, because it’s that time of year when the angles are right.

And I was reminded of how much I miss my little gray menace.

18 months w/o Anyanka. One month for every year she was with us.

Z Nation had this covered years ago.

Seriously, he’s 77 and there is no reason whatsoever to believe that he still has any serious interest in finishing the last two books.

An enslaved zombie is the only way you’re getting a draft before 2050.

31 years man, feeling OLD today.

Still an utterly amazing album.

Genuinely impressive.

Blue Origin pulled off a first stage recovery on their second flight.

And to follow on from my previous post, what do i mean by horrifying?

Check out this nonsense from the three-cueing founder.

He is proudly describing teaching children to not read words on a page.

Finally got my protection up and running again after a few years following an unfortunate “the metal ring broke” incident.

Important to have in these challenging times. Every little bit helps.

Evil is abroad.

If you are going to class up your palace with gold you need to go ALL IN.

Not naming any names.

As we gallop through our re-run of the shop-money crisis this seems particularly NOT GOOD.

Involuntary “donations” are presumably the next step.

How long until the Trump administration seeks assistance from Liz Sherman & Abe Sapien in its War on Frogs.

They have relevant experience.

I really don't know how they managed to cast Ian McKellen and Derek Jacobi in an incredibly conventional and cheesy British sitcom, but whoever was behind the effort was a genius.

Watching Gandalf & the Master playing off each other as super campy old lovers dreaming of never-were careers is gold.

Big shout out to this movie.

The folks making the core knew what it was and weren’t afraid to lean in.
October 9, 2025 at 1:08 PM
Sad, cos it really looked great & drove well.

Let’s just say, was definitely not entirely age-appropriate for me at the time, but things were a little looser back in the day, especially if you were with your mum.
September 28, 2025 at 10:23 PM
I miss her so.

Sixteen months now.
September 8, 2025 at 11:24 PM
Hmm. So we’re going to revive the test acts?

If we’re returning to our English Christian traditions it’s clearly the only way to go.

Obviously not ideal for the current VP, amongst others.

I’m really curious about the discolouration of Starship after its successful re-entry.

If I have this right its showing its belly. The previously black tiles are now a browny-orange while the nose cone is puzzlingly white.

But SpaceX has had a successful test after a series of failures.

I really didn’t get how large these new Ukrainian Flamingo missiles are, until I saw this picture.

Amazon guy set out my delivery like some sort of baited trap.

Feels a little like I’m going to be ambushed once I’m far enough from the door.

Its about time for a rewatch.

Gods above I loved this movie. It just leans in so hard.

Is "oward" a technical term I'm unfamiliar with, or just super sloppy website content management.

The 1920s in Germany were such fun.

Associations of young men being led in new directions. No historical parallels to be seen amongst the contemporary chinos, polo shirts, and joylessness set.
