Sorry - those are such predatory loans. I went to College in Canada & didn’t qualify for student aid, so I worked weekends & talk about exhausting. I got so run down & got recurring tonsillitis, and had to have them removed right before exams. So, we made sure our kid didn’t have student loans.

When I was in high school, I cashiered at a local grocery store & one of my fave things to go was to carry out groceries to cars (small town) - they would bring us baked goods & little presents at Christmas. 🩵

My In-Laws incorporated their Maine cabin into their retirement home & connected the two with a breezeway. It was absolutely perfect on the holidays with that bonus kitchen.

He’s having quite a few health issues & his doctors don’t have a lot of answers because they didn’t really have a plan for aging with his complex medical conditions because they didn’t expect him to reach 50.

There were often White Claws down there from when the kids visit, but they’ve been on a health kick & haven’t been drinking. Beer fridge is now the seed fridge. Middle-age priorities. 😂

The one time of the year that I’m happy that we have a shop fridge -which tbh is usually my husband’s seed storage for his garden. 😂

He was born with spina bifada, so his entire body is affected - and most shopping carts are too tall for him to reach up & maneuver with his arms. Sometimes, I think what a great life lesson it was for us kids to go to school with him from kindergarten through graduation.
