By the time I had my own money, it was all about Ray Bans. I wanted this K-Way jacket so badly - but ended up with a generic version of it when I was 11/12 which I still loved. I wanted the cool stuff that all of my older cousins had in the 1980’s.

We had a friend who knew a semi-famous tattoo guy from some reality show, so we threw a tattoo party, where he came, set up at our house and tattooed all of our friends for a full day. Like a Tupperware party, but different. 😂

Imagine my Boomer Dad with these blue eyes & his Elvis hair back in the early 60’s. He might have been a bit of a flirt to top it off. He dated a few of my friend‘s Moms back when they were all teenagers. 😂

My first boyfriend had a 78 Trans Am & I got that thing up to 120mph when I was 17. Then, I spent two years driving on the Autobahn where people are often getting up to 130/140mph.

How much borscht I made this year. Every year we make & vacuum freeze about 20 meals (for 2). And, we still had beets left over. 😂

I found my Mom’s easy perogie recipe. 🩵 It’s just the ingredients with no instructions & I realize that I do the same with my recipes. Easy & quick to make, and I have more directions if anyone wants them. I stuffed them with potatoes & cheddar & browned them with fried bacon & onions.

But - of course costs are going up for Military families & retirees. Gotta find a way to claw back any cost of living adjustments money.
