It's what makes him such a terrible speechwriter, btw. He tries to stuff Dollar-Store Churchillian knock-off phrases into Trump's mouth. Not only bad writing, but always bad if the writer doesn't understand how his principal speaks.
Stephen Miller feels so powerful stringing together a bunch of big, masculine words that, collectively, mean close to nothing.
Stephen Miller: "With the thousands of officers that we have now in response to the incredible threats and violence in MN, there's within that an opportunity to interdict large numbers of these insurrectionists and then use them to gain insight into these networks and deliver criminal consequences."

these dipshits crave, above all, male affirmation and admiration. which is why it's important to not allow them to believe, uncontested, for one second, they are in anyway heroic or praiseworthy.

they are bullies and cowards, catastrophically lacking the discipline required of a true professional.

This retired philosophy professor seconds Tom’s recommendation. (And yes, it will be on the midterm along with Aristotle’s Nicomachean Ethics)
I understand this problem, but I'd suggest - for people who really want to explore the problem of emotivism - that they read Alisdair Macintyre's "After Virtue," in which he argues that all post Enlightenment moral reasoning is just emotivism. (harsh, but influential work)
lol. sorry Tom, but a legion of faux intellectual dipshits coopted your word.

Now whenever I see the word REASON in a bio I immediately know the account is just going to be a long stream of patronizing bullshit from the top of peak Dunning-kruger

Tom Nichols about Trump being an aspiring fascist: “Donald Trump is saying really terrifyingly fascist things about taking over other countries and owning them, and anyone who disagrees with him is his enemy. And I think that’s starting to break through.”

Come to think of it, this was always the dead end of "anti-anti-Trump." The anti-anti's couldn't defend Trump's evils, but they could criticize his critics. That ends with concluding that anyone who ever criticized Trump really deserves and was asking for the worst of his evils.

We need another bigger & louder NOKINGS Day b/c what Trump is doing to Minneapolis, he'll be doing to your city next.

Nobody is safe anymore. Even if you're a U.S. citizen, always carry your identification papers with you.

Voting Trump out is the only way to stop him & bring him to justice.

Trump wants Russia and China’s foreign policy. Why would he not also want their domestic policies?
The Law Is “Fake and Gay”
Turns out the Trump domination theory of foreign policy applies to domestic politics, too.

Before the election Trump said 'vote for me & you'll never need to vote again'. People said he was joking - trump does not joke and lacks the capacity for a real 'sense of humour' . He plans on declaring martial law & not having elections.

This is a step along the way⬇️

This shouldn't require saying, but we highlight polls at a time like this because 1) it's heartening to see the American people rejecting fascism, which inspires more to join; and 2) because Ds are under pressure from certain quarters NOT to engage, so we need to let them know what the people want.

Here we go again! Trump is lying again and insisting that it's Putin who wants a peace deal and not Zelensky, despite all of our former European allies stating that Moscow has little interest in ending the war.
Trump is clearly and indisputably a Russian asset, a traitor, and Putin's puppet!
