I felt like I was losing my mind watching this person's remarks and had to write about how disgusting they are.
Sarah Hurwitz Profanes the Holocaust
Holocaust education has worked too well for the Obama speechwriter, since when she rationalizes Israel's genocide, "I sound obscene." Maybe sit with that, Sarah

I don’t believe this will amount to anything, but if I know my government, they will regard this as double-dealing by the EU. It won’t go unpunished.

All the while, the Sudanese people bear the lethal brunt of each party’s political calculus.
EU rethinks UAE trade deal over alleged arms sales to Sudan – DW – 11/26/2025
Members of the European Parliament demand that the EU end talks with the UAE over a trade deal. The UAE is suspected of sending arms to a Sudanese paramilitary accused of war crimes, which the Emirati...

Beinart just posted an apology on X/Twitter for not heeding the calls of Palestinians/allies to not violate BDS guidelines.

Doubly disappointing. He had ample time to cancel.

The talk took place yesterday. I didn’t think ‘One Day, Everyone Will Have Been Against This’ would be the very next day.
I’m disappointed by Peter Beinart’s decision to cross the picket line and give a talk at Tel Aviv University (one that is very much complicit in the ongoing genocide in Gaza no less). For him to do that lends credence to all that is said about the impossibility of forming meaningful coalitions.

Level-headed and candid.

“It has become common practice to take sides in another country’s civil war, to arm one party against another, to send one’s own troop or hire mercenary forces to participate in such conflicts. This is what happened in Syria. It has also happened in both Yemen and Sudan..”

I still believe in what is basically a South Africa solution but the whites in South Africa did not commit 1,000 Sharpevilles a year for multiple years straight. What does truth and reconciliation look like in this circumstance? It would have to be based on actual foundational principle of justice.

South Africa remains on edge since the arrival last week of 153 Palestinians fleeing Israeli genocide in Gaza, as fears grow that Israel could have kick-started its long-anticipated programme of ethnic cleansing of Palestinians under the guise of 'voluntary migration' ⬇️
Exclusive: Gaza man paid $6,000 for ’suspect’ South Africa trip

This also sounds like a plan Reform and Labour (in part) want to implement. Israel remains the north star of Anglo-Israeli postliberalism.

Messy data but I don’t think this data says what this implies - it’s good that enrollments remain mostly steady but these students were mostly already enrolled or admitted before Trump’s hatchet to higher ed. The cliff would be this year’s applications and next fall’s enrollments.
The number of foreign students in the U.S. decreased by less than 1 percent this fall, according to new federal data, despite predictions that their enrollment would plummet this year due to a crackdown by the Trump administration.
Trump’s crackdown on foreign students barely impacts enrollment, data shows
About 1.3 million students in the U.S. had active visas in October, down less than 1 percent from a year ago.
