The electroacoustic pioneer scored dozens of pictures – and communist propaganda. Too successful to be persecuted by the politburo but largely forgotten when he died, his music is being revived by a new archival series

It was a pleasure to escape to Liška's world and explore his legacy for The Guardian as this month Animal Music releases the second volume of his archives. Liška could go camp or avant-garde, but "he never phoned in", thinks Petr Ostrouchov, who serves currently as a caretaker of his archive.

Can't stop blasting Implosion by The Bug vs Ghost Dubs. The album's slowness and heaviness of basslines (and their spectral dub) remind me of sludge. This is massive.

Dnes večer ERASERHEAD XIU XIU. Před koncertem si od 18.30 budeme s Jamiem Stewartem v malém sále DOXu povídat o hoření černým plamenem a "lynchovském" v hudbě Xiu Xiu.

I reviewed SANAM's excellent album for tQ. Sametou Sawtan (their debut for Constellation) reminded me of Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra and the sextet explores horizons of post-rock beyond the Western world, which is exciting.

V Respektu píšu o sborníku Duchové mého života od Marka Fishera. Zatímco Kapitalistický realismus vyšel v češtině rok po vydání (2010) a četl se jako diagnóza krize, Duchové dnes s víc jak desetiletým odstupem působí jako časová kapsle, ale pořád je to nakažlivý čtení

Tohle je výborná zpráva a bylo na čase. Je to taky cena za přínos pro zvukový umění, archeologii médií a spoustu dalších neviditelných věcí, který ovlivnily a ovliňují generace studujících.
