We had a short trip to Poznan in the summer. Good first impressions. It had amazing cheap public transport including air conditioned trams. The city centre was busy. The contrast to my home town of Reading was stark. Poznan had that positive vibe that lots of Britain had pre GFC/austerity.

Not only EU funds. Different policies in UK.

Most policy makers rarely see beyond plusher parts of the South East. Few in Britain realise how good infrastructure is in much of Europe, and how bad it is in most of Britain.

MAGA influencer scandal

While this may feel like a sudden "discovery" to the public, let’s be clear: Big Tech knew.

Twitter/X knew. Facebook knew. TikTok knew. Google knew.

The leaders of these tech giants must face the same consequences as the corrupt politicians they enabled.

We should not rest until the last foodbank closes due to lack of demand
The fact we have any food banks is the best indicator that wages have been flatlined as corporate profits surge. our system is broken and needs a re-set. .GOV should not need to top up folks wages and folk should not need charity to eat in the 21st century. We've gone wrong somewhere.

It's surely incompatible with the Equalities Act. Someone old may not look like a stereotypical female but age is protected. Someone queer may not look like a stereotypical female but sexuality is protected. Someone trans may not look like a stereotypical female but gender reassignment is protected.

Notably high rate of Didn't Transfers for this top two though at 68% of available; past 5 by-elections have been ~58%, 58%, 56%, 36% and 44% exhausted of available.
Stranraer and the Rhins (Dumfries and Galloway) by-election transfers, votes at final stage:

Conservative: 1565 (39.7%)
Reform UK: 1523 (38.7%)
Didn't Transfer: 851 (21.6%)

No detailed data to follow as this was a hand count.
