This morning I took my first ride up Te Ara Moana to Port Chalmers. The ride was lovely, though I'm still not clear exactly how one is supposed to get to Te Ara Moana from Ōtepoti centre. Might figure that out next time.

Right now, the tree is empty aside from lights. The only ornament so far this year has been Betty jumping on it, but I plan on putting more baubles up in the coming days. After many miserable years of being firmly on Team Grinch, I now enjoy decorating even though it's still fairly low key.
