Sadly, no club has ever faced a reckoning for continuing to field or defend a man accused of rape and there is nothing to indicate that will change now.

@arsenalvisionpodcast.com Gents, now that we can legally talk about it… WE HAVE GOT TO TALK ABOUT IT! Every win in silence has lost its luster and value. If we are not safe, we have lost the plot, and our raison d’etre, full stop. Can’t shame Chelsea, City, United if we can’t get this right.

Absolutely spot on. Our club has always prided itself on its class, but this will forever tarnish our reputation and be a stain on our history. Disgraceful that it was brushed to one side for so long.
One day there will be a reckoning for how Arsenal Football Club dealt with this case. And I’m afraid that includes the manager

We'd like to say or think this dark episode with Partey is over for Arsenal as a club but the reality is we should be far from it, and there needs to be some accountability had for the way we protected and promoted this man, and the message we have sent to women & girls.

I just don't understand why the club and manager didn't address this appropriately at the time. Drop him from the squad and say that we're committed to helping and protecting women but we can't comment on anything specific for legal reasons. Or you know, just cancel his contract and bin him

Just so so unforgivable how close we were to giving him a new contract www.telegraph.co.uk/football/202...

We deserved better. The victims deserved better. All of the women associated with the club deserved better. It will always hurt, no matter how many good things happen.

Genuinely makes it hard to respect Arteta, no matter how well this season is going.

Our handing of the Partey case was disastrous, immoral, and indefensible. We repeatedly made the wrong call.

An absolute stain on our club. 300 characters isn't enough to talk about the cognitive dissonance that we went through, watching Arsenal whilst this piece of shit played for us. Because we all knew. They all knew.

So glad that Thomas Partey isn't an Arsenal player anymore but the way the club handled it will always be a dark cloud over a very fun era of this team

How Arsenal handled all this, prior to him leaving in the summer, up to and including considering giving him a new contract, is a stain that will never wash out from the club.

I love Arsenal more than most things in life but today I am ashamed of them.

Another shameful day in the recent history of the Arsenal.

The club cowered and hid behind lawyers. They treated the women at the club, and the women’s team, with disdain. They put supporters in an untenable position.

We need to always remember this.

I would really like a statement from the club to address this. The silence on it is so deafening. Won't hold my breath, though.
