Will note TWELVE DATES ’TIL CHRISTMAS is also effortlessly diverse, in various ways, in manner that feels very un-Hallmark, extremely refreshing, and like something that likely won't be happening moving forward at the rapidly retreating network.
Will also add that, depending on how the final episodes play out, limited series TWELVE DATES ’TIL CHRISTMAS could end up being my favorite Hallmark thing of the year. It definitely LOOKS the best, has the best cast, and the most intriguing premise.

Hallmark has, so far, avoided this specific hazard, by still developing almost all their movies in-house, BUT are going down another dangerous path, relying more heavily on sponsor "partnership" movies and product placement, where danger is movies less stories than shopping lists or tourism videos.

ran into someone i used to know too well for a moment recently and this true of abusive types in general. i no longer had to humor his toxicity and he was downright afraid when that was made clear. i was not being threatening, not that he couldn't have provoked it
sure, it can be hard to teach horrible adults shame.
but I think it’s also true that many horrible adults have been treated with kid gloves by everyone around them throughout their lives - and it is possible to break through that if you demonstrate that you aren’t going to take their shit.
