Firmly believe that the irreducible part of any problem is that people are its solution. Also, that nesting bowls are chaotic evil masquerading as lawful good. Walking my dog, hanging with my cats, and trying to play jazz guitar albeit very badly.

I’m expecting Trump’s weaponization of law to be focused on
- selective prosecution
- charging political enemies with crimes he committed or was reasonably accused of
-charging political enemies with crimes political allies are actively committing in plain sight or have been credibly accused of
All my pictures of Calvadore are of him in repose, but trust me, he is one weird dude.

This is both offensive and intentional. If the ICE agents are "ignorant" they are willfully and deliberately ignorant. Their job is not to uphold the law but to terrorize non-white Americans in service to the white nationalist cause.
‘Northern Exposure’ actor gave ICE agents in Redmond her tribal ID. They called it ‘fake,’ she says
Indigenous actor Elaine Miles of "Northern Exposure" was detained by ICE at a Redmond bus stop. When she showed them her Tribal ID, they told her it was fake.

“The [31%] drop in fatal overdoses in King County is likely due to a multi-pronged public health effort across the county that includes increased access to injectable buprenorphine…and a massive campaign to distribute the overdose reversal drug naloxone.”
I did a deep dive into what's really behind the decline in overdose deaths in Seattle. Grateful that independent media outlets like @publicola.bsky.social allow me to do longform journalism like this.
What’s Behind the Recent Decline in Overdose Deaths in Seattle?

While Seattle’s outgoing mayor and city attorney credit drug arrests and prosecutions, public health evidence suggests other causes.

Wait, so Pirro’s take on the tragic and inexcusable shooting of two national guardsmen is, “You picked the wrong target.” So, gone is the talk about political violence being abhorrent? These are dark times brought on by this incompetent, grifting, racist regime.

Ambient information can be very useful, however, I don’t think I needed to learn that Stephen Miller is made of mayonnaise.

This is the evening that I feel smug that our Thanksgiving meal is scheduled for Saturday…but I’ll be in this boat after ya’ll Friday night.

I’ve passed a certification exam yesterday (Salesforce Business Analyst), and today I relax until the plumber comes this afternoon to fix the busted pipe or connector at my water meter. Thanksgiving to be celebrated here on Saturday, but the clock is ticking.

This is interesting — the rise in cost of computer memory being driven by AI investment and wealth concentration. A bubble with knock on effects on consumer goods.

Today, Tilly and I walked to #CafeCorvo from our squirrel park. I had the cups with me, but we needed to go back to the car and double back for the pup cup because once you get off the mat THE CEMENT FLOOR IS LAVA. She is settled in on her pillow now.

President Piggy, it was never about the vote, it was always about the full, Epstein files & related bank records without your name redacted from them. If you think you can kick that can down the road, forget it. You are a disgrace to Americans & your enablers are as cruel, cowardly, and weak as you.

I will never forget having to edit Jamal’s final, posthumous piece for the Washington Post, after he was murdered.

He was calling for free expression in the Arab world. You can read it here :

Opinion | Jamal Khashoggi: What the Arab world needs most is free expression
The Arab world needs a modern version of the old transnational media so citizens can be informed about global events.

A reminder that seven years ago almost to the day, the CIA determined that Mohammed Bin Salman ordered the killing of @washingtonpost.com journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

I hired and worked with Jamal for a year.

Give ABC News journalist, Mary Bruce, her flowers for her pointed accountability question to #Trump and #MBS at this vile press conference.

Watching Trump suck up to #MBS in his rambling is sickening. It’s an affront to our national interest and sense of decency. This is the erasure of the life, work, and cold-blooded murder of Jamal Khashoggi.

A study on political corruption: in a single day we see the corrupt rehabilitation of #MBS, murderer of Jamal Khashoggi, and the next step in the ongoing Epstein files shell game. Wishing power vibes to the survivors today. It’s well-passed time to end Trump’s self-dealing and political corruption.
