Amazing Ocean Physics and Climate Change #GEOL0022 presentation South Park style by Samirah Khatun...Very timely in view of risks of AMOC tipping if beaufort Gyre Arctic freshwater released to North Atlantic. Any resemblance to real persons is purely coincidental 😅

Is the Atlantic Ocean circulation close to tipping?
Hear the latest science as I presented it last month at the ATLAS25 event in Helsinki.
Let me know if anything is unclear, or if you see good reasons why your government shouldn't immediately act on this. 🌊

One day, when this national nightmare is over and speaking up has no consequences, everyone will claim they were against this.
A Naperville man was hauled away by federal immigration agents Thursday morning as his two sons watched, the older boy begging them not to hurt his father and tearfully asking for a chance to speak to him before they left.
As his two sons watch and cry, ‘Pa, te amo,’ federal agents arrest man outside of Naperville apartments

So far this week:

❌ SSMIS data halted (think sea ice, snow, hurricane, ice sheet monitoring, etc)
❌ climate[dot]gov removed and redirected to...
❌ NOAA Climate homepage, which was modified (e.g., removed Climate Stripes and Climate Ready Nation references)
❌ false bills to ex-probationary employees
