A human, on a dying planet, trying to change that. Never give up, stay angry & smash this system. Oh and my brain, doesn't seem to see words the same way others do, sometimes, Soz, hope you get what I mean.
Peace and swizzle sticks. 💚

Never forget this.
While COP30 descends into farce
and UK fossil companies still get
£millions in subsidies helping their profits soar,
food banks desperately appeals for funds
to help poor, old & sick people
facing another winter of eat or heat

It already is, this just concentrates it even more, if that is even possible.
This raises the worrying prospect that overwhelming media power in Britain could be concentrated in the hands of a tiny number of very wealthy, extremely nasty and very right wing crackpots who will use it for malignant ends

I personally wonder if the reform lot actually believe in this (at the moment) they're just about the scam, the grift. However, give them a few months/years and they will, they'll convince themselves.
The UK is a strongly pro-choice country with 86% of Britons wanting abortion to be legal in all or most cases. But the US anti-choice movement has been investing heavily into campaigns in Britain, and Nigel Farage’s Reform UK party seems to be support the interference.
The worrying rise of US anti-abortion rhetoric is in full force - how deep is Reform UK's involvement?
Money is pouring into anti-abortion campaigns in Britain, and it seems Nigel Farage’s party isn’t pushing back…

Hear bloody hear.
On the day its announced that the owner of the right wing Daily Mail has taken over the right wing Daily Telegraph, we should question why right wing propaganda is so highly subsidised in U.K

Newspapers hardly make any profit… but that’s not the point…
…is it?

My fav thread of the week. Top bants. 🤭
Let’s be honest: nothing Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin have done in the last 56 years justifies the tremendous cost of bringing them back from the moon. NASA should’ve spared the long-suffering taxpayer and left them up there

Given that 20 Palestinians are being killed on average every day by Israelis in Gaza (37 on Wednesday), it seemed a little premature for the UN Security Council to give its approval to Trump’s real estate grab / ethnic cleansing plan for the Strip.

Nice.

Interesting.

Quite accurate.
I love it when everybody is talking about something horrifying but no sign of the source is on my feed, it's like using the gravity of unseen objects to make speculation about bodies in space

Looks at reform ltd. 🤔
Left-wing vs right-wing populism in one picture.

This couldn't have been more perfect. Ignoring tradeoffs and blaming the main outgroup as the solution to every societal problem.

Farage can now be easily boxed in to a corner where his only ‘defence’ becomes: “Yes I spouted Kremlin propaganda & Putin worship but, unlike Nathan Gill, I didn’t need bribes to do it.”
It is, once again, a question of whether interviewers have the temerity to shut down his whining obfuscations.

Hmm, now I wonder who else would have been delighted about that.

Trump is finally showing his true colours over Ukraine! Betraying a country that is fighting for their right to maintain their independence & freedom against an unwanted & unprovoked attack by aggressor & war criminal Putin is the greatest betrayal. History will not be kind to Trump the traitor!

Turns out a fairly left wing ruling party in Denmark only tagged right on immigration thro' of pressure from far right parties
Did it work? No.
Is it humane? No.
Are UK + Denmark comparable? No

Remember: The oligarchs who control our economy and democracy seek to divide us so they can become more powerful.

They want us to turn on each other so we don't look up and see where all the wealth and power have gone.

Don't fall for it.
