My elevator pitch for Airheads 2 is The Lone Rangers are retired but their kids have a band and they get into hijinks. Like they take over the Spotify office in LA because they’re mad Sleep Token gets more streams than them or something. Also, the kids are played by the actors’ real life children.

There’s a guy at this show who’s like 6’5” and he clobbered 4-5 kids in the pit doing Mike Haggar’s spin move from Final Fight.

NYC is expensive, loud, and smells like a filthy toilet but you can also randomly stumble across a raclette pop-up so it balances out.

In 2024 I went to 83 shows. Tonight I’m going to my 82nd for 2025 and I’m on pace to close out the year with 92 shows attended. I could have hit at least 100 but there was a month or two where I didn’t go to any. Please help me I’m so tired.

If I was running a metal blog or podcast, instead of covering crap like band drama or whatever, I would interview Patti Harrison about being the funniest comedian in the world and also having excellent taste in music.

I’m reading that Greg Ginn interview in the New York Times and thinking about the 2008 movie The Rocker where Dwight Schrute plays a washed-up hair metal drummer from the 80s who joins a high school rock band.

I logged into Facebook for the first time in a while and one of the first things in my feed was a suggested post from a guy having a meltdown because there are too many anti-Trump memes being posted in an It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia group.
