I think I nailed procedural generation of asteroids! This tool can do spheres, capsules and cylinders. It also has two shaders to color the terrain and water. Planets too!

#Update Got a diving “Raven” enemy made. It’s also the first time using the LimboAI add on for #godot. It definitely makes behavioral trees and state machines way easier. Try it out!

#Update I feel like things have been going a bit to smoothly...i got knock back implemented, enemy pause while attacking and i cleaned up a bunch of player movement code.

Got the enemy attacks working! A sensor node activates the enemy hitbox when the player enters and applies damage! This is the base Enemy Controller that can attach to all enemies.

So i got a enemy that has a working patrol and player chase function, he can even jump over small walls. This is so cool! Next is enemy attack...

I now have a working Health system! I rebuilt the attack system, it was clunky and error prone before, now its butter, attacks register cleanly. Got my projectiles working, they carry data from a resource so they can apply weapon status effects.

Update! Currently working on the player controller. Movement is smooth with single button switching between melee and ranged weapons. Projectiles next...

More progress in my Test Game. I implemented player damage along with a working health bar and a ‘’Hit’’ shader on the player. I spent over an hour diagnosing a lost animation due to a capital letter…lol

Haha!!!! I figured it out!!!! Now all of my enemies blow up! Imo code was correct but I didn’t have my Area2D node properly linked to my death script.

Built my first state machine for one of my enemies. Although now I can’t figure out how to kill it. lol the hurtbox and death script from a different enemy doesn’t work.
