The frame is split horizontally now. Upper narrower part shows Shen Qingqiu in his white robe, with Luo Binghe's shadow stalking him unnoticed, only his wide predatory eyes visible. Lower part shows Gongyi Xiao following him, but on his side of the canvas Shen Qingqiu's robe still appears black, covered in white hand prints to the extent of almost turning white. The upper part grows even narrower. Shen Qingqiu is looking back at Gongyi Xiao, smiling and waving his hand. Luo Binghe's shadow is still there, opening his mouth wide as if to bite Shen Qingqiu, yet he is looking back at Gongyin Xiao. His own frame shows them in a light forest. In the background, there is the black robe spread, the design on its sleeves showing now branches with tiny leaves and a heron with its wings spread mid flight.
