Well timed following yesterday’s @fangraphs.com piece on Fernando Valenzuela, I answered a reader question about electing Hall of Fame candidates based on their credentials as pioneers, with some examples of who might fit the bill. This one is for subscribers only, but it’s easy to become one!
Bobby Freeman is moonlighting as the organist for the Fall League Championship game, and between that and the relative quiet during the game action, truly an 80-grade ballpark auditory experience on offer today.

I love the emails I get from Bloomberg News that are like "Where to invest $1 million right now" as if this is a pressing concern for me personally. Like, won't someone help me resolve the anxiety of not knowing where to invest $1 million, I am simply beside myself!
