All games on MLB dot tv!

Perfect second screen choice for ALCS Game 3 night imo !!
25% of it is the SABR index, and Winn was very comfortably ahead there (and tied with Allen) at last update on August 10.
Victor Scott II is a Gold Glove finalist in center. Between him and Winn, they accounted for a huge percentage of the Cardinals’ positive defensive metrics this year, and he deserves to be recognized for it.
Masyn Winn is a Gold Glove finalist at shortstop, as expected, alongside Nick Allen and Mookie Betts. He has a real shot to win. Overcoming the accomplishment in moving positions as Betts did is going to be tough.
Five straight winning seasons, homegrown superstars locked up for the duration of their careers, a starting pitching factory and a middle of the road payroll? Suddenly Seattle’s 54%ers look like the model for what the Cardinals want to be:

The Mariner model might be a good one for the rebuilding Cardinals to copy
The Mariners are in a big city with big dollar owners who haven’t had to fork over big cash to free agents because their player development system is spinning like a top.

Two *force* outs on the same play?
Forget everything else about that play, if that’s at all possible — how often does a catcher record two force outs on one play? How often does anyone?
They say you can see something brand new every day at the park, but they don’t usually mean *that*.
In a letter to the San Diego Union-Tribune, Mike Shildt announced his retirement from managing, citing the physical, mental and emotional toll the job has taken on him.
They do PFPs for a reason, folks.
And Memphis gets the JV version on March 7-8.
Savannah Bananas are coming back to Busch next August 21-22.
The guy I always think about him in comparison to is Jim Leyritz, except for like three times as long.
Hasn’t published yet but I wrote for this weekend grading my start of year predictions, one of which was Nolan Arenado being traded to Philly. I copy and pasted a chunk of it to re-use. Still smells right.
Ran into Pete Kozma with his kids at Wrigley a couple weeks ago. Doing great!
MLB Trade Rumors is out with their arbitration projections:
There is new music from The Format…and it’s good? Oh, it’s an incredible day to be 38 years old.
Skip Schumaker has a new job. All signs point toward Albert Pujols having one soon. That’s not a surprise to anyone with the Cardinals (or anywhere else in baseball), but it is an indication of the multiple, overlapping variables which led them to stand pat:

Cardinals stay the course with Marmol as MLB managerial carousel spins
One former Cardinals player signed on to manager the Texas Rangers and another legend is the favorite to take over the Los Angeles Angels.

Keeping a respectful eye on lots of posts about good old team-first Canadian boy Connor McDavid today so that when he takes 8x$24M from Anaheim in two years we can do a compare and contrast.
I covered this game and have no memory of this, primarily because by the end of the fourth in that game I was fully dug in on a season obituary.
Trey Yesavage’s 10 strikeouts are tied for most in postseason history through 4 innings

With 2019 NLCS G4 Patrick Corbin
This is a preseason game.
You know who’s having a killer weekend? Jack Antonoff
Texas making it official with Skip Schumaker officially puts the Cardinals on Jon Jay Watch.
