The New Yorker writer is absolutely correct. All the guards men and women in all the states dispatched should be home in their regular jobs and with preparing for the holidays with their families.

5/5 - If MTG truly wants to show she has changed, her votes will speak louder than her public relations sympathy show. Oh, never mind; she’s resigning; no chance to show she has changed through her votes. One thing I do believe is when she says she now understands what it feels like.

4/5 - It is important to call that out. People who were targeted by her rhetoric did not have the option to step away or soften their image when things got too heated. They were forced to deal with the fallout and get protection.

3/5 - MTG spent years attacking people who were already living through trauma, spreading harmful conspiracies, and encouraging hostility toward harmless individuals. She used similar tactics against her colleagues across the aisle. Those actions had real consequences for real people.
