You’re correct when you say, “she wants excuses to dislike and not accept people and the church gives her a reason to do that.” But, here’s the deal: Christ doesn’t. Christ is incompatible with the judgment and hate seen in Evangelical churches. These churches are something other than “Christian.”

And Dem leadership, for some reason, refuses to respond in kind. There is a solid legal argument that a federal judge in D.C. could administer the oath of office to Grijalva. But, Dem leadership won’t even consider this kind of self-help remedy. It’s frustrating.

That means the Speaker can administer the oath to the newly-elected Member. But, it means that a federal judge in D.C. could administer the oath, too. What is important is that (1) the oath is sworn and (2) the Member gets to work. Anything else would be placing form over substance. 5/5

The Const. requires House Members to swear an oath to uphold the Const., but it says nothing about who should administer that oath. So, Congress passed a law, 2 U.S.C. 25, which says that, at the first session of a new Congress, the Speaker takes the oath, then swears in the other Members. 2/

Truly don’t understand why he doesn’t exert more control over the ISP. The ISP should be protecting Illinois citizens from physical abuse by the feds, not protecting feds from verbal abuse by Illinois citizens.
