Michaels started going the way of Amazon, making their own in-house yarn lines to replace the ones from other companies, and I think combined with Joann’s closing it made the existing yarn companies scramble. It definitely doesn’t feel like a GOOD sign 🥴

They made deals about 6 months ago with a bunch of other brands, for reasons I’m not super clear on. Knit Picks is selling a couple of their yarns too for some reason

It’s the same shit that goes around about fast readers. People are self conscious and take it out on people they perceive to have higher status which is a WILD thing to want in a knitting community but some people truly cannot help it I guess
