the only good thing about genAI is that it got me to really love seeing bad art, because I know a person put in time and effort, made themselves vulnerable by showing it to others, and is trying to improve. I value that more than anything now

🚨Dane County Residents and local AI Haters🚨
We gotto go tell Deforest to shut down their Data Center plans tomorrow.
ACTION REQUIRED. DANE COUNTY RESIDENTS AND OTHER LOCAL AI HATERS Deforest is holding a meeting on November 18th at 6PM at the Deforest High School on the WPS AI Data Center. We NEED to fight this data center. -It’ll consume incredible amounts of electricity, bringing up prices for everyone in the region, not just Deforest. This data center could use up to 2.5X the ammount of power as the entirety of Dane County. - AI centers use incredibly large ammounts of water, even with a closed loop system. There’s no environmental impact statement. We don’t know what taking this ammount of water from the region will do to the local water table or how the coolants used will impact local drinking supplies and wildlife. Where does the wastewater go? - Data centers don’t create many permanent jobs, just construction jobs to build the center. They don’t meaningfully contribute to the economy, only take. There’s so much more that what I’ve mentioned here and for what? More AI slop for corporations to shove down our throats? Hell no. Show up to the Deforest meeting and tell them no. One town should not have the say over how this impacts the environment of the entire region.

I saw a post this morning somewhere about trying to draw an upturned chin from below and yeah - that's a tough one!

You need to rely a lot on shading the form rather than lines for this usually. Beards can be a nice cheat. 😋

Here's a few refs to try today if you want the challenge. ⭐
