Google at its peak was basically the best information retrieval system in human history and they and every competitor decided going from there to “you didn’t want answers you wanted half-assed auto-complete 80%-wrong hallucinations” in a few years was the right idea

I found this metric for evaluating the use of generative AI (and more broadly machine learning) technology in games very useful, as it's a topic on my mind a lot right now. I actually did not have "Enhancement" as one of my criteria but I think he's changed my mind here.

Why I dislike volume shots, or larger green screen shots in movies today. This is not just a Quantumania problem, but prevalent in many (most?) tentpole movies these days.

Sigh, YouTube followed the horrible UX design of Liquid Glass to make their interface unusable, certainly for combo of HDR and dark mode.
Anyone there with a UX degree at YouTube deserves to be fired and have their stock options revoked along with everyone at Apple working on Liquid Glass.

I really hate when software developers, content producers and even worse UI/UX designers use "here" as the hyperlink instead of the description or title of the thing being linked.
It wasn't a good practice 30 years ago, and hasn't gotten more appropriate with age.

I've been fortunate to see the wood shrines referenced in this video. The size of them is quite striking.
The video shows the shrine inside a room, but you don't really have a sense of the size of that room. My memory says the shrines were 10+ ft wide & 20 ft long.
