I was a bookseller for years so I got recognised in a sort of do-I-know-you-or-not kind of way.

“I’m sorry, I thought you were someone else”, they would say.

“I am”, was my preferred reply

That’s ok then. I’m nearly no one.

I wouldn’t go back there if they paid me [plucks figure out if the air] $1 trillion

Or Old Bond in a wheelchair (played by Dick Van Dyke) being wheeled around by an increasingly frazzled but reluctant action-hero Q played by Simon Pegg

It’s all made up. You absolutely can.

I won’t spoil things by mentioning wool stuffed duvets.

A combination of the two might result in falling productivity

Sky News is still subject to the same impartiality rules as the BBC so let’s not get our abacus out for counting years in the business.

Their motto is reputed to be “no wrong for long” based on the frequency with which they misreport and then have to hastily backtrack

In what jurisdiction is Trump threatening to sue and how would that work?

Putting aside his traditional hyperbole is this a realistic threat? Has it not been established that he did contribute to the Jan 6th insurrection?

4,000 journalists broadcasting in 43 different languages.

Not allowed to get ANYTHING wrong EVER.

I don’t recall Sky News or Channel 4 News getting this kind of hoofing for a mistake.

I know many genuinely working class people (I used to manage a warehouse). I know more university educated, well-off, kids at private school, smart car driving “working class” people.

We don’t even know anymore. The death of heavy industry in Britain has played havoc with the class system

Genuine middle class people never speak about class. People who claim to be working class are inevitably middle class.

Upper class people like to pretend to be of the people but are clueless
