I asked what I should use instead of firefox and someone said “floorp” and I legitimately thought it was a bit for like five minutes. tech has gone beyond making the torment nexus real to making poob real.

I understand wanting to do higher-level tasks. But I also think there’s sometimes a performative aspect to the “I no longer code [by hand]” schtick.

Emojipedia's cookie disclaimer makes it sound like they're running a nuclear reactor: safety maintenance? R&D? Indexing and displaying emoji seems like a very safe and well-solved problem at this point.

macOS 26 is...fine, honestly. No real issues after I got used to the crazy border radius. Spotlight is really snappy now, and you can hide menu bar icons without an external app.
