Rev. Jesse Jackson was a great American who fought relentlessly to make our country a better place — one with justice, equality, and freedom for all. His legacy will live on for generations through the lives he changed. My thoughts are with his family.

He changed the course of our nation, from marching for civil rights to building coalitions that expanded who gets to be heard in our democracy. He challenged us to believe that progress is possible, to never accept injustice, & to rise up against all odds.

I met with agricultural leaders at the farm of Jeremy Tischer, a third-generation farmer growing corn, soybeans, and sugar beets near Breckenridge. We discussed the many challenges they’re facing — from rising costs to tariffs — and the need for certainty and stability.
