For sure, it is more of a workaround than an intended way of using the system that only veteran players with a lot of gold (not me, I spent it all on Battle.net balance to buy the expansion pack).

When prices as well as the currency buy UI shows up it'll become very clear very quickly what way they're going. Not possible to infer from this post. The ball is in Blizzard's court, which historically, is very scary since it tends to not go the right way. Make housing the exception, Blizz.

I don't think they'll be changing a lot based on feedback but am happy to be proven wrong. It is very easy for them to start doing common anti-consumer virtual currency stuff with this (they do in other Blizz games) and it's important we call them out on that. It is very hard to do this right.

My previous comments in that thread of not liking virtual currencies apply. One notable quote: "You should be able to obtain an amount that makes sense for the purchases you want to make." does imply they won't be doing the weird anti-consumer bundles of currency + designed leftovers, but we'll see.

Yeah, it feels a lot like that. Some of the attached names aren't the types to simply jump on something to capitalize, so there's hope but I'm very cautious. If it gets more people familiar with his story as well DMD I'm all for it, just cautious.
