Today is the 16th anniversary of losing our daughter to leukemia. People who have never experienced the heartbreak of pediatric cancer have absolutely no idea how devastating it is to lose a child. Particularly in light of the relative lack of research done for pediatric versus adult treatment.

Gabriella Miller was an extraordinary pediatric cancer advocate who died at age 10. I was lucky enough to know her. The Gabriella Miller Kids First Pediatric Research Program was established in her honor in 2014.
