Yesterday may have been my all-time favorite #BeyondTheGates. 1. The Dani/Andre thing is so interesting and unique; 2. Martin is 100% wrong and also 100% relatable; 3. Nicole is an amazing confidante; 4. Intrigued at Leslie as benefactor. #BTG

I'm sure I'd know, but I assume there is still no post-MIPCOM updates on a US/global distribution of #HeatedRivalry, right? It would be good, to reduce piracy and diminished enthusiasm, for this to be announced NOW!

Vanessa makes no sense to me. And running a sex trafficking operation is not a good look. I believe she suspects Joey killed her husband, and she's basically trying to go undercover with Joey to get info to use against him. #BeyondTheGates #BTG

Why do people ride SO HARD for Nicole and Kat and act like the Duprees are the only main characters deserving of good things? Villain redemption is a core concept in soaps, plus you've got to build them up before you demolish them with consequences. #BeyondTheGates #BTG

AGREED. I do understand the anger but that was A LOT annd it's not going to stop her from trying. Tyrell talked to her calmly, gave her inside info & she *still* reached out to that kid again. Martin spewed all that fire for nothing. Now his pressha is high & she's sneaking more. #BTG

Unpopular opinion: I don't believe Smitty/Martin going in on their daughter like blazing guns was the right play. You saw the rebellion in her eyes. They needed to take a breath, acknowledge her feelings, and shift into how she could keep herself safe. #BTG #BeyondTheGates

#GH #GeneralHospital manages excellent flow despite block taping. Ava ending up in the Metro Court in one story, spying Michael across the room, calling Nina -- everything just FLOWS. Slezak tells so much story with her face! This show is consistently USA top soap right now.

I am enjoying #Neighbours so much, and I love that the show is so alive that it is still introducing new stories. But I'm starting to feel this growing dread that we're losing the gang while there is so much more to see. 2022 offered a closure I don't foresee here.

Anyway, with the Daytime Emmys, we obviously had some consequences of (a) not being produced for broadcast, and (b) mixing the tech and other awards, and (c) the weird hybrid of kid/animal/talk/judge/cooking/soap shows that always plagues this ceremony. That said ...1/2
