Then an exciting post-birthday weekend in Sheffield - Royal Trads, Dungworth to see guests Magpie Lane on Saturday night and after a sleepover in Sheff will then be heading back to Dungworth to join in with the Sunday Sheffield Carols session ♥️🎶🎄

Despite being almost blown into the North Sea in the 50mph wind and getting totally drenched 3 times - tonight’s Wassail was a total joy - thanks @elizacarthy.bsky.social and @jonboden.bsky.social for a wonderful evening ♥️♥️
Was good to also catch up with #thedaddy again too ♥️

Just back from one of the best nights ever! Go see Pete Morton on this latest tour if you can. Pete is naturally hilarious and quick witted. The show is full of songs we all know, told in such a funny, engaging way and a history lesson too. Like nothing we’ve ever seen before. I’m still laughing 😂

So fortunate to have the fab music venue that is the Ropery Hall/Ropewalk in my town. Going to 3 of these folky events - the other 3 clash with other things however I’ll be seeing The Wilderness Yet over at Nettleham Live between Xmas and New Year 🎄🤶❄️☃️🎶

Yum. Over the weekend I made a healthy and wholesome chicken and veg ( potato, onion, peas and carrots) soup and used my own stock that I made from saved veg peelings. Some servings now in freezer but had some for my tea with toasted seeded sourdough. 😋 Bit of Hendo’s added before serving 😁
