Attending 3 folky gigs back to back again this week, starting tonight with a return visit to the superb venue that is Cafe#9 in Sheffield. Looking forward to listening/catching up with @jonwilksmusic.bsky.social

I do love a bargain. Came across this individual porridge pot. Still in its original packaging/box. It’s quirky, cute and I love it 💛
Shall put it to use tomorrow morning. It cost me £2! 😁🙌🥣

9 years ago I was in India for a while.Stayed a couple of days in a remote place with no running water. So hot and dusty. Very late one night I had a shower using buckets of water from this well. The only sound was howling Jackals. A liberating and surreal experience that I’ll never forget :-)

As one of my local charity shops has a music event on I popped in. I trawled through 100s of CDs and eventually found these two gems. Two of my favourite female folk musicians/singers. Funnily enough, I’ll be seeing both these ladies in Christmas concerts this coming Nov/Dec too😁

Quiet day needed today after a fabulous, feel good visit to my home town of Sheffield. Spending quality time with friends old and new was a tonic. Music, delicious food and warm, welcoming company wherever we went.

Most enjoyable gig tonight by MG Boulter at Cafe#9 in Sheffield. Wonderful stories, songs, voice and musicianship. Matt is a warm, genuine person too- was great to have a good catch up with him again. Shall enjoy listening to the new album :-)

Oh my days. We love the Blue Ball in Worrall. (Lovely people and the pub takes part in the Sheffield Carols).
We saw the new Sunday lunch charcuterie board they are doing.. so delicious. And a box of leftovers to take home 😂

Back home. Quick bite to eat. The cake and brownies I’ve made are in a bag as are prizes for Mr Boden’s raffle 😁….looking forward to an evening at Royal Trads with tunes, house songs and the wonderful Jackie Oates. Case packed too as staying over so will be heading to our Sheffield b&b first. 🎶🎻🎼

Late night/early start. My 30 something daughter’s graduation ceremony is today. I’m a very #proudmama. She’s worked so hard - studying whilst holding down a full time job and raising a little one. She now has her Cert Ed and a full time permanent teaching post at a local college. Go my girl! 💖🎓

Apparently, today is #worldporridgeday
With the exception of the occasional overnight oats, I have porridge every morning made simply with skimmed milk, chia seeds and honey 😋
