I don't understand this instinct, what is the point in waiting

one of my longstanding takes is that car manufacturers should be forced to install mandatory speed limiters in every new vehicle and people react to that like I'm advocating to strip them of their right to free speech

There's, at least, hope of things getting radically better so there's some room for optimism and I think it's good to work towards that. It's a shitty situation to be in on the whole though I deffo agree
