Politically, illegal immigration is a huge issue now. We need clear policies on legal immigration and identity cards to show it.

Those scientists will have to move to somewhere like Canada or Europe. The world will continue to benefit while the US goes backwards.
This is so harmful. Scientists are developing mRNA-based cancer vaccines that could save so many lives.

It's certainly my wish. I used to like Jake Tapper. I always presumed he was a Republican but also that he cared about democracy in the US. Now that democracy is so much under attack by Trump, it doesn't help to go on and on about Joe Biden. And Trump is clearly in decline but Tapper hasn't noticed.

If it means that we are to suffer a Farage government because of high immigration, then I think it has been a disaster. I would rather point out that really high immigration has only happened since Brexit. Farage is to blame.
This is bullshit. You can say there are costs, you can even claim the costs outweigh the benefits. But to say that immigration has caused incalculable damage is not just hugely offensive to millions of people and their families, but simply empirically demonstrably wrong
If you thought the PM’s speech was punchy, his foreword to the immigration white paper says high net migration has done “incalculable damage” to the country.
