3 hungry dogs, a zombie dog, and a demon dog. Turned out ok for a couple hours of messing around with speed paints.

Giant crate of Dolmenwood goodness has finally arrived in my neck of the woods.
First impression: it's so, so lovely!
Putting secret GM-only info on the giant cloth map was sure a choice. Hopefully it's not that secret.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. character minis done! Onto the enemies. So many camo dudes with guns...

Look at what came in the mail! His Majesty the Worm, that's what. The cat was already here.

For some reason I expected it to be A3 format, y'know, the indie size. It's massive!

I've long wanted to run a west marches/darkest dungeon style game, and this just might do the trick for me.

Board game night

Having artists in your game group is so very cool sometimes. Here's our Swords of the Serpentine party, the ancient noble family of Villatori, an assortments of pets, and more nods to adventures we've had than I can list.

Went looking for an old blog post of mine, typed the name into google because that was easier, and got fed an AI overview of it, mixing my very specific terminology that no one else used with... child development. Poor AI, even it can't comprehend my genius.

I had a lot of fun writing it, but here's probably my favorite part: the terrible macaque. It's just a green monkey. You will come to fear it.

So. Pretty.
The question now is, do I wait for the recently announced new Heart sourcebook, or do I dive in?

A different kind of board game expansion
June 22, 2025 at 11:42 AM
Soul Raiders characters all painted and ready for play. Just don't look too closely at the faces.

Look at these colours!
Ship of Fools, #Mothership one-shot adventure coming Real Soon Now. #TTRPG

Some people save spare bolts, or cables, or whatever else, in case they come in handy one day. I save boxes.

Do I need another dice box? Of course not.

However.

Look at it. Begging for dice. There's even a dragon on it!

Graphic design is my passion, can you tell?

(It's a custom Mothership character sheet for a one-shot adventure, almost ready).

Got a bit tired of painting DRG glyphids, so switching it up with Soul Raider heroes.
April 24, 2025 at 7:08 AM
Day of giant boxes arriving on my doorstep. Soul Raiders is the most visually impressive box I've seen. Look at it, it's a giant book! Curving spine and all. So impractical, but so lovely.

Some more bugs, sorry, glyphids

Deep Rock Galactic board game core box, all painted! That's a lot of bugs.
Onto the expansions...

Game night got cancelled at the last minute, but at least the trip wasn't wasted.

Didn't win, but the castle was neat nonetheless

Festive (well, green) spitball infectors from Deep Rock Galactic to wrap up the year

First airbrush experiment: getting the paint/flow improver mixture right is tricky. It either runs like diluted ink or clogs up the nozzle immediately. White zenithal highlight mostly worked, blue shadow was a mess. But I'm painting over it, so hopefully it'll be fine regardless.

Well then. I suppose this was inevitable. Everything gets pirated, why not the stuff I write.

All the usual piracy arguments apply: if someone was going to pay for it, they would and still can; it's free advertisment; etc., etc..
December 12, 2024 at 3:56 AM
Glyphid praetorians done! And the end of the #DeepRockGalactic core box is in sight.

As much as I like minis, I greatly appreciate Uprising's acrylic standees. They look great and don't require a lot of storage space or months of painting. Plus the game's fun, too!
