what legal recourse do artists and museums have against international militaries stealing and using our work to commit warcrimes, since apparently that's a conversation we need to have now.

Times are tough for everyone I think.
Daily I have the goal of applying to a min of 3 jobs, and spending at least an hour teaching myself typescript & automated testing.

Today I’m taking the time to reset, recharge & paint in the garden. It’s amazing what some fresh air & creative freedom does.

Enough people said they wanted to see the final slide deck, so I took the time to put it on my non-teacher github so I could share it. I didn't end up getting in trouble. I ended up being encouraged by a colleague to share it with my dept chair, and he liked it

GOTY because it lacks most of the basics of accessibility. Too often 95% of GOTY contenders over the past decade barely have any thought to accessibility.

Today a took a break from job hunting to try baking GF & Vegan friendly lemon and almond lamingtons -super easy and yummy!

I’m not GF or vegan, but I think it’s important that everyone feels welcome and included in my home.
It feels good to be making something that makes others happy.

I may not have found a new role yet, since being made redundant, but I have;

-had a magical Christmas w my partner,
-reconnected w loved ones,
-resumed queued personal creative projects,
-started making the needed updates to my website portfolio,
-started a safe exercise routine.

And I am happy.

If your approach to colourblindness is full screen filters, you're *doing it wrong*, and causing more problems that you're solving.

If you see a game that has filters, they're doing it wrong. If you see a game that has a 'strength' slider - don't copy it.

Puzzles are kind of magical.
This 1000 piece puzzle has been relaxing to work on with my partner, each of us taking time in the evening to sit together to complete a little more.
There are so many blurred purple pieces though… could take a while haha

Flashing lights have no place in games in 2025. Even though they pass the test saying they are "safe", they can still do incredible harm to both people with photosensitive epilepsy, migraines, vision problems and so many others.

ALWAYS give your player a way to turn it off BEFORE starting the game!
